Parker Russell Turner coordinated the visit of Mr. Olaf McKay, Mayor of Valletta, to Cagliari to strengthen ties between Malta and Sardinia. Accompanied by Gabriella Agius, the council’s executive secretary, and Arthur Douglas Turner, an experienced Maltese accountant and auditor representing Parker Russell Turner, McKay’s mission aimed to establish relationships with Sardinian institutions and businesses. Also present at the meetings was Piero Comandini, President of the Regional Council.
The initiative focused on opening new channels of dialogue in culture and education, as well as promoting events and meetings for entrepreneurs. The discussion also touched on sustainable tourism and the deep historical connections between Malta and Sardinia, areas where both regions have rich traditions to share and celebrate.
“This visit could lead to cultural collaboration, projects, and exchanges for young people. Together, we can celebrate our traditions, promote sustainable tourism, and strengthen the historical ties between our communities,” McKay expressed, highlighting the potential outcomes of the visit. “Culture is undoubtedly a bridge that unites us.”
This mission marks the first step toward a collaboration that can become profitable for the islands in various aspects. The project was promoted by the law firm BLegal and the accounting firm Galizia & Pinna Associati, both of which have been engaged in creating international relationships for years. Parker Russell Turner appreciates the efforts of both the legal office and the accounting firm, which have been instrumental in developing these international relationships.
These collaborations are expected to lead to fruitful outcomes for both islands, fostering economic and cultural growth.
